D2iQ continues to up level organizations’ Kubernetes skills by adding a new course to their certification preparation course roster. The CKS, or Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist, credential is a recently minted certification sponsored by the Cloud Native Computing Foundation to address the growing need for education in security for Kubernetes clusters. The CKS certification was made generally available at the Kubecon/CloudNativeCon North America event in November of 2020.
D2iQ has launched the new class, alongside the existing Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) and Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) certification prep courses. CNCF certifications are a prestigious set of credentials obtained through practical exams proctored only by the CNCF. Unlike other preparation coursework, D2iQ offers live instructor-led courses ensuring mastery of the subject matter. D2iQ is one of few organizations that holds both the Kubernetes Training Partner (KTP) and Kubernetes Certified Service Provider (KCSP) certifications that enable them to provide organizations with the training companies need to develop the competencies required to run Kubernetes in production at scale.
According to the CNCF, “The Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS) program provides assurance that a CKS has the skills, knowledge, and competence on a broad range of best practices for securing container-based applications and Kubernetes platforms during build, deployment and runtime.” Note that the Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) certification is a prerequisite to sit for the CKS exam.
